State College and Bellefonte boys lacrosse off to hot start in 2025 season

CENTRE COUNTY — State College and Bellefonte boys lacrosse teams off to an undefeated start in 2025. 

State College is three games into the 2025 lacrosse season and they are 3-0 winning with an aggregate score of 55-13. 

The first match was against Central Dauphin, where six goals and two assists from Trey Combs led the way for the Little Lions in a 15-7 victory. 

The next match was against Central Dauphin East which ended 20-4. Combs had another eight points, but the whole team got involved with 13 different players recording a point. 

State College’s most recent match against Mifflin County was no different from the first two with a 20-2 win. Cooper Brushwood and Combs combined for 16 points in another well rounded victory. 

On the Bellefonte side, the Raiders have only played one game so far this season. On Tuesday, March 18, they took on Mifflin County in a 9-7 battle. Trey Smith stole the show, winning 15 of 20 faceoffs, while Dodger Weaver and Nathan Parks led the way with three goals apiece. 

Both teams will look to continue their unbeaten streaks with State College playing on Thursday, March 27, against Chambersburg and Bellefonte taking on Indiana on Friday, March 28.
